  1. 1/2 ltr and 1 cup full cream milk
  2. 100 grams paneer
  3. as required Condensed milk (as per your taste)
  4. as required Chopped dried fruits
  5. 1/2 tsp cardomom powder
  6. 1 bay leaf
  7. 1 tbsp ghee

Steps to make to make Paneer Kheer (Paneer er Payesh)

  1. Firstly add a tbsp of ghee in a pan. Once it gets heated, add chopped dry-fruits in it. Roast them until they turn slightly golden in colour. You can add dry fruits of your choice. Keep them aside.
  2. Now start boiling milk by adding a bay leaf in it. In between add all the roasted dry-fruits. Now mix everything well. Keep stirring in between so that the milk doesn't gets burnt from below. Let it boil until it becomes 3/4th of its quantity.
  3. Now crumble paneer as shown in the image below. Then add cardomom powder and mix it. Add condensed milk as per your sweet tooth. Mix everything well. Now add the crumbled paneer in it and mix it.
  4. Keep the flame low and let it boil for 10 to 12 mins more. The milk will become thicker at this point of time and the paneer will absorb all the sweetness added. When the kheer cools down, it would become slightly more thicker just like rabri. Let it come to the room temperature then keep it in the refrigerator for about an hour then serve it chilled.
