  2. 2 cups Milk
  3. 2-3 tbsp Ghee
  4. 1 cup Sugar
  5. 1 tsp Cardamom powder
  6. 10-12 Almonds slivered

Instructions to make to make Bottle Gourd Halwa

  1. Heat a tablespoon of Ghee and saute grated Bottle Gourd for a few minutes. Now add Milk and Cardamom powder. Cook on low heat for about 15-20 minutes or until tender and soft. Cover it partially.
  2. After done, add in Sugar and the remaining Ghee. Roast on medium-high heat until the Sugar dissolves and Ghee is seen leaving the sides of the Kadai. Add Khoya or Mawa or Fresh Cream at this point if using.
  3. Mix well and garnish with slivered Almonds. Take it off the heat. Allow it to cool down and then chill. Or can serve immediately as desired. It's yummy both ways. Enjoy!
