  11. 6-7 Kesar Strands

Instructions to make to make Besan Ka Halwa

  1. Take a tadka pan, add 2 Table Spoon Desi ghee in it & turn the gas on low flame.
  2. When ghee gets heated up, add Badaam, kaju & pista in it & roast them for 20-30 seconds till they start popping.
  3. After 20-30 seconds, when they starts popping, take them out in a plate & add raisins pieces in it & roast them for only 10 seconds.
  4. After 10 seconds, turn off the flame & take them out in a plate.
  5. Now chop them roughly.
  6. Now take a pan or Kadhai, add 1 Cup Besan & 2 Table Spoon Suji in it & turn the gas on low flame.
  7. Now dry roast Besan for 5-6 minutes, till a fragrance starts coming out of it & its moisture is completely released.
  8. After 5-6 minutes, when a fragrance starts coming out Besan & Suji, add 1 Cup Desi ghee in it with ghee in which dry fruits were roasted & mix them properly.
  9. Now roast Besan in ghee for 6-7 minutes till it turn into golden brown in colour.
  10. After 6-7 minutes, when Besan turn into slight golden brown in colour, add 1/2 Cup Sugar in it & mix it properly.
  11. Now cook them till sugar dissolves completely in Besan.
  12. After 7-8 minutes, when sugar is completely dissolved in Besan it’s colour is completely changed, add 2 Cups Kesar added Water in it & mix them properly.
  13. Then add 4-5 Elaichi Powder & roughly chopped fry fruits in it & mix them properly.
  14. Now cook them for 5-10 minutes on low flame till it turn into more golden brown in colour.
  15. After 5-10 minutes, turn off the flame & transfer the Halwa in a big bowl.
  16. Your Besan Ka Halwa is ready to be served.
