Mexican sour cream looks and tastes like mild mayonnaise. Most Mexican dishes, specially Elote has this type of sour cream. 3. Sour cream: it looks and tastes like the hung curd. Some people use this in Mexican dishes. The very authentic Mexican restaurant called Chuy's used this type of sour cream.

- I made it with the ingredients available in Malawi. It was still very yummy. I replaced table cream with beaten (liquidised) milk cream, sour cream with curd (not hung, but thick), Mexican sour cream with regular mayonnaise, Mexican hot sauce with Nali and Nando's peri peri and cheese crumbs with Amul cheese. I added a bit of spicy ranch sauce since it was available, but I am sure it doesn't make a difference without.
