- 1 cup sooji
- 1/2 cup desi ghee (you can add or reduce it),
- 1 cup sugar
- Some chopped badam & kaju
- 1/2 tsp Elaichi powder
- 3 cups water
Instructions to make to make Sooji Halwa
- Take a wok or pan, add sooji, dry roast it for 2 minutes.
- Take out in a bowl, add ghee in the same wok or pan, heat it.
- Lower the flame, add sooji, stir fry it until light brown. Keep stirring it.
- Take another pan, add water, sugar & Elaichi powder, mix it well. Boil it until sugar melts. Turn off the, keep aside.
- Now add the sugar syrup in the sooji, keep stirring.
- Cover it with the lid for 2 minutes. Open the lid now, stir it till water has dried up.
- Turn off the flame, take out in a serving bowl.
- Garnish it with chopped dry fruits.
