- 150 grams Sooji
- 1 piece large Chopped onion and tomato
- 1 Chopped Green chilli
- 1 tbsp Grated ginger and lemon juice
- 3-4 piece Curry leaves
- 4-5 piece Cashew
- 1 tbsp Spilt urad dal and chana dal
- 1 tbsp Cummin seeds
- 1/4 tbsp Mustard seeds and red chilli powder
- as per taste Salt
- as per requirement Cooking oil and water
Steps to make to make Katori upma
- Take a frying pan and roast the sooji for 4-5 mins till it starts changes it's color.
- Now take another frying pan and put some cooking oil and put mustard and Cummin seeds and fry it. Now put cashew and sugar in the frypan and fry it. Now put urad dal and chana dal and mix them properly in the oil.
- Now add curry leaves, grated ginger, green chili, and onion in the oil and fry it on medium flame. Put some lemon juice also and in the end, add chopped tomato in the frying pan. Stir it and heat it for 4-5 mins.
- Now add some water and heat it for 5 mins on high flame. Now put sooji in the frypan and 2-3 cups of water and cover the frying pan with a lid and cook for 6-7 mins.
- Stop the flame and let them cool. Take a bowl and put the mixture in that bowl to get bowl shape and take the upma and serve a little hot.
