  23. 1 ″ piece of ginger chopped
  24. 1 medium onion sliced
  25. 1-2 chopped green chillies
  26. 3/4 cup grated coconut
  27. 2 tbsp oil

  7. Now add marinated chicken and sear on high flame.
  8. Next, add in the wet xacuti paste and dry masala. Mix well.
  9. Add in about a cup of water and mix. Once it begins to bubble, lower the heat, cover with a lid, and let it simmer until the chicken is cooked. You can add more water if required.
  10. Finally, add in the tamarind pulp and mix.
  11. Check the salt and add more if required.
  12. The Goan Chicken Xacuti is ready to serve. Serve hot with pav bread or rice.
