  2. 1 cup white poha
  3. 1/2 cup grated coconut
  4. 1 1/4 cup cup jaggery
  5. 2 spoon ghee
  6. As needed Water & oil

Instructions to make to make Ragi kozhukattai

  1. Heat a kadai. Add Ragi flour and dry roast for 5 minutes till a nice aroma arises. Grind the white poha to a coarse powder.
  2. Add ghee to a kadai and roast the grated coconut till it turns to light brown color. Prepare jaggery syrup by adding little water to the jaggery.
  3. Mix the roasted ragi flour, blended poha and grated coconut. Add the jaggery syrup slowly. Mix everything together till it combines well. Add water if required.
  4. Knead it with few drops of oil greased in your hand. The mixture has to be moist, crumbly and hold shape well.
  5. Now take small of ragi mixture and press it gently with fingers against the palm to shape into pidi kozhukattais.
  6. Arrange in a greased idli plate (or steamer). Steam cook for 5 minutes on high flame & simmer for 10 mins.
  7. Once done, remove the kozhukattai from steamer and allow it to cool. The healthy and tasty ragi pidi kozhukattai is ready now
