- 200 grams big medium spicy chillies
- 3 tbsp groundnuts
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds
- 1 tbsp poppy seeds
- 1 tbsp cumin

- 2 tbsp desiccated coconut
- 2 onion
- 12-15 garlic cloves
- 2 inch ginger
- 6 tbsp oil
- 1/2 teaspoon mustard seeds

- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric
- 2 tsp red chilli powder
- As per taste Salt
- 2 tbsp tamarind pulp
- 1 tsp garam masala
- 1.5 cup water
- 2 tbsp coriander leaves
Steps to make to make Hyderabadi Mirchi ka Salan
- First of all dry roast groundnuts in a pan. When groundnuts are almost done, add sesame seeds, poppy seeds, cumin, and coriander seeds to it and roast everything well on medium to low heat. Now add desiccated coconut to it and roast it on low heat for another half a minute and turn off the heat. Let everything cool down completely.
- Take 2 tbsp oil in a pan and add onion, garlic, and ginger to it. When the onion is brown in color turn off the heat and lets it cool down.
- Wash green chilies and pat them dry. Now add 2 tbsp oil to a pan and add green chilies to it and roast it on medium heat for 2 minutes.
- Now add the roasted spices and onion mixture to a mixer jar along with half a cup of water and grind it to a coarse paste.
- Heat 2 tbsp oil in a pan and add mustard seeds. When it crackles, add cumin and curry leaves to it. Now add turmeric and chili powder to it and add the prepared paste. Mix it well and cook it on medium heat for 2 minutes. Now add salt and water to it and mix everything well. Cook it on medium heat for 5 minutes.
- Now add tamarind pulp and cook for another 2 minutes. Add garam masala and coriander leaves to it along with green chilies. Now cover and cook it for 5 - 7 minutes on medium heat or until the chilies are cooked but still, it has a crunch to it.
- Hyderabadi Mirchi ka salan is ready to be served. It can be served with biryani or even along with roti, paratha, or rice.
