- 1.5 cup poha
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 1/2 teaspoon asafoetida
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon rye
- 1/4 teaspoon turmeric
- 10 curry leaves
- 4 Chopped green chillies

- 3 tablespoons lemon juice
- 3 tablespoons oil
- 1/2 cup peanuts

- Firstly, take a strainer, into it add poha and wash poha twice and set it aside for about 5-10 minutes and let the water drain out completely. Excess washing and soaking make the poha soggy, therefore, do not do it.
- Take a pan/wok, into it, add oil, and heat it. Then add rye, cumin, and asafoetida and prepare the tempering.
- Add peanuts and roast for a few seconds. Add finely chopped green chilies and saute. Add curry leaves into it.
- Add chopped onions and saute for a few seconds until turns golden pink. Add the washed poha into it.
- Now add all the spices, salt, sugar, coriander and finally add the lemon juice and mix well. Then turn off the gas and cover the lid for 2 minutes.
- So now the Mumbai famous kanda poha is ready to be served. Serve as a tea-time snack!!! ENJOY!!!
