- 4 tbsp fresh curd
- 40 ml oil for saute
- For masala paste

- 8 cloves garlic
- 1 inch ginger
- Handful cashewnuts
- 2 fresh green chillies
- 1 tsp oil
- For paneer Kali mirch
- Khada masala
- As required (Cardamoms, cinnamon stick, black peppercorns, cloves, javitri)Prepared masala paste
- as per taste Salt to taste
- 1/4 tsp red chili powder
- 1/2 tbsp coriander powder
- 1/2 tsp cumin powder
- 1/2 tsp sugar
- 1/2 tsp garam masala
- 1/2 tsp black pepper powder
- As per requirement Sauteed paneer
Instructions to make to make Paneer kali mirch
- Heat a pan, dry roast black peppercorns. Grind it to a powder. Next place a pan, heat it with oil. saute onion till translucent. Keep aside. Next in a mixing bowl put paneer cubes, add salt, black pepper powder.
- Add fresh curd, mix and let it rest for 15 minutes.
- Next in a blender jar, take fried onion, cashewnuts, green chillies, ginger and garlic. Blend smooth. Next place a pan, add oil.
- Put marinated paneer cubes for slight frying. As it's fried, keep aside.
- Next in the same pan, put khada masala, add the prepared masala paste and let it cook till it looses it's rawness. Add salt, red chili powder, coriander powder.
- Next add cumin powder. Add the leftover paneer marinade. Let it cook in slow to medium flame. As flavours get combined. Add the sauteed paneer.
- Let it cook for 7-10 minutes. Add black pepper powder, sugar and garam masala each at few minutes intervals.
- Cook till you get the perfect consistency. Switch the flame off... It's ready to serve... Paneer kali mirch goes well with roti/ paratha/ rice/ pulao.
