- 1 Bowl Sugar
- 1/2 Bowl Ghee
- 4 bowls Water
- 10-12 saffron strands
- 1/2 Tbsp Cardamom Powder
- 7-8 Chopped almonds
- 7-8 Chopped Cashews
- 8-10 raisins
Instructions to make to make Sugar (Suji Ka Halwa)
- At first sieve suji. Take a pan add suji and dry roast till it turns golden brown in medium flame. Turn off the flame. Take out into a plate.
- Take another pan add water, sugar at high flame and bring a boil. When sugar dissolved completely add cardamom powder and saffron, mix well and turn off the flame. Keep aside.
- Heat a pan add ghee and add dry fruits. Fry it for a minute. Then add roasted suji and mix everything well. Cook it for 2 minutes on low flame.
- Now add half quantity of sugar syrup. Mix it well. Now add leftover sugar syrup. Stir it 5-6 minutes at high flame. In few minutes suji start increasing its quantity. Cover it and cook it for 3-4 minutes on low flame. Turn off the flame. At last add 2-3 Tbsp of ghee and mix everything well.
- Now halwa is ready to serve.
- Serve in a bowl. Garnish with chopped dry fruits.
