  1. Heat oil in a kadai, add the whole spices and once it crackles add the onion and saute it, till it becomes brown, it will take about 25 minutes. Add the Mutton and saute it further, the mutton pieces also gets browned and onion Caramelized. Add the ginger paste in the process. It will take about 30 minutes. Adjust flame accordingly, don't cook on very high flame.
  2. When the oil seperates from the Mutton pieces and add enough hot water for the mutton to cook till it becomes soft and well cooked. Add water as and when needed, don't add too much water in the beginning. Close and cook.
  3. While the Mutton is cooking, dry roast the whole masala under Whole Spice/ Masala Powder and then cool it and grind it into a fine powder. When the Mutton is cooked add the grounded masala and cook for about 5-10 minutes, till the oil seperates from mutton. This is Dry kind of Mutton preperation with the masala sticking to the mutton pieces. It goes well with Pulav, Steamed rice and Rotis ! Enjoy !
